Can i take any eyeglasses frames to an eye doctor?
Im in the process of getting new glasses because mine are too old. but the ones they have at the glasses places are too lame. i was wondering if i was able to take any frames to the eye doctor and if they would be able to put lenses into them. or if not what can i do. please help.
Yup – as long as they’re in good condition, we can cut lenses into just about any shape — I’ve even done weird things like cutting prescription lenses into welding goggles. Prescription lenses come as big round plastic pieces that get cut/shaved down to fit into the glasses frames, so it’s just as easy to put lenses into an old frame as it is to use a new frame. It’s also cheaper, obviously, because you aren’t paying for a new frame.
