I bought my glasses at LensCrafter, Can I take it to another optical store for adjustments?
I just found an optical store closer by.
Absolutely. I previously worked for a vision insurance company (Davis Vision) who owns their own lab and optical establishments in addition to specializing in insurance. You could say I’m an authority on this….and could even adjust them for you myself (I’m an ABO Certified Optician).
It does not matter where you buy your glasses, any eyeglass retail location or private office or Optician or Optometrist or Ophthalmologist can adjust your glasses. Whether or not there will be a small charge…I cannot say for sure. But, with the economy the way it is at the moment, they may do this for free just to gain you as a customer.
My suggestion is to go into a eyeglasses retail location and browse their frames (you may even find one or two you like). Ask a few questions and ask if they know where you can go to have your glasses adjusted. I bet the optician offers to do it for you right there for no charge.
