What are some great skills to learn?
I’ve pretty much gone the last 21 years of my life developing academically only. As a teenager I’ve gotten into things like guitar, skateboarding, martial arts, etc., but never became brilliantly proficient in any. As I turn 21 this month I want to try learning some great skills (girls only like guys with great skills~! GOSH! -napoleon dynamite). I suppose I would prefer something physical and somewhat combative like western style fencing or something. But it doesn’t have to be anything cliche like karate. I guess what I’m trying to say is just that I don’t want to pursue floral design or anything…..haha. It’s gotta be on the manly side. Even just tinkering with motorcycles and becoming handy would be a skill I can be proud of. Unfortunately I don’t have a motorcycle! you get the picture
any suggestions? I like to be competitive and useful.
If you’re talking about physical skills, I think kickboxing, carpentry, and mechanics are the most interesting. Have you tried acting or singing?
