i have a 1997 cavelier it won’t pass emissions due to the evap not ready.my check eng light is not on?
also i had a p0141 o2 htr code but still no eng light i have not had a evap code pop up but my reader says its not ready i just bought the car and can’t get it licenseed i am going to r&r my 02 sensor but dont know what to do about the evap.yes i tried a new cap
By not ready do you mean the evap monitor is not ready? After you replace the O2 sensor you’ll need to drive the car at various speeds for sometimes up to a half hour. That way the monitors can be ready for your car to be smogged. Sometimes an evap code can be set by leaving your gas cap off. Good luck and hope this helps.
