Rimless Eyeglasses
Can anyone help me find a style of eyeglasses?
I have an astigmitism, and with my prescription, my glasses always magnify my eyes a little bit. Not like coke-bottle glasses or anything, but enough for me to notice. I have had rimless glasses in the past, and I have had the thick rimmed emo plastic ones as well. I am looking for a style that will sort of hide the fact that my eyes seem bigger. I was thinking the style with the rim on top, but rimless on the bottom. Thanks
I’d need to see a photo of you to suggest a style. rounder faces usually look best in square glasses… but it’s typically a case-by-case basis.
A semi-rimless (the style you’re alluding too) will generally look great on most people. Keep in mind that it does tend to open up your face more, so it may not hide the size of your eyes very well.
You can’t really hide the size of your eyes. I’d suggest you instead try to find a pair of attention-grabbing specs that will reduce the focus on your eyes.
It all comes down to your prescription. A strong prescription will yield a thicker lens, in which case i would strongly suggest against semi-rimless, or even the completely rimless drill-mount. DKNY and Oakley make some fantastic metal frames that are thick enough to hide the lens thickness, while classy enough to draw attention away from the eyes themselves… that’s where I’d start.
Oakley can be a tad tougher to find, but the DKNY frames are available most anywhere.

my store sells this frame and I’m yet to see anyone (male or female) that looks bad in them. As a matter of fact, i purchased them for myself.
