Spring Hinge
What size screws in length do you need to keep a spring hinge into the framing around the door?
The screws that were in the frame were only an inch long and they came out. Don’t they need to be longer?
Try some 2 1/2″-3″ coarse thread drywall screws.You want the screws to reach the framing studs so that they have something to grab onto.Be careful when you tighten them up as you can pull your door jamb out of plumb.Good Luck
