Stuart Women

John Stuart Mill – The Subject of Women?
This is the only question from an essay test that I can’t figure out what to write in my Humanities class. Someone please help!
John Stuart Mill wrote that men do not simply want obedience from women (as men might demand from salves), but women’s sentiments (feelings/affections) as well. According to Mill, how do men in general (or societies) achieve this goal?
treat the women with the same attributes, be obedient, and be affectionate to the women. only then can you expect to see the same in return

Shepherd of the Hills [VHS] $13.79 Director Henry Hathaway never hesitated to return to a picturesque location that had served him well. There’s no more striking example than his sequel-in-spirit to the enchanting early-Technicolor Trail of the Lonesome Pine (1936). This time, the enchantment is darker, just as Charles Lang Jr.’s stunning cinematography represents a quantum leap in sophistication over Trail’s pleasant pictorialism…. |
