eyeglasses measurements pupillary distance too small?
I got some new glasses I bought from zenni opitical.com for a cheap price. They work and help me see better, yet I filled out the wrong number for pupillary distance and my eyeglasses are too small for my face. Is this going to cause damage to my vision if the pupillary vision is wrong or if the glasses are too short for me. ie, I have to stretch the temples of the glasses to put them on?
Both of the previous answers are correct, an incorrect PD will not harm your vision but if you feel any discomfort I would stop wearing the glasses.
You mentioned that the frames are too small for your face, this has to do with the frame size and not your PD. When ordering, pay attention to the frame size (usually shown as 52-18-140) which is Lens Width-Bridge Size-Temple Length.
Next time, use your PD to pick out a decent frame size. The first two measurements of a frame (52-18) should add up to about 7 or 8 more than your PD. If your PD is 60, look for frames around 50-18.
