Do Architects and planners get annoyed with each other when working on projects. If so any examples?
This is not personally annoyed. I mean how do they clash; for instance planners can have regulations which stop the architect building their Original design. Equally Vice Verso
Rarely do Planners and Architects clash. The main reason is Architects work within the confines as set forth by the “General Plan” that the Planners and the City have established. Whenever there is a zoning issue, it is usually due to the desired use of land by the developer that is in conflict with the current zoning. Architects than in turn are often hired to provide graphic for the zoning lawyers to rezone the property. Sometimes, large developments hire both a planner and architect at the beginning of the project, and in that instance, they work together like they would with any other consultant. Architects will blame the planner if the City rejects the rezoning plans. But that is not the planner’s fault.
